Stock market has hit new record, stock markets trade higher with the new president
The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a record high of 21,073.62 on Friday, the highest level in nearly a year.
The S&P 500 added 3.7 points, or 0.3%, to 2,966.43, while the Nasdaq Composite index rose 2.1 points, OR 0.4%, to 5,958.71.
The market is also seeing new highs and lows.
The Dow is up a record 24,000 points, but the S&P 500 has gained 10.2% this year, according to FactSet data.
The Nasdaq has gained 4.5%.
The Dow has surged more than 2,000 percent since President Donald Trump took office.
The Nasdaq is up nearly 12% this month, according the data provider.

The Dow Jones industrial average jumped 20.2%, the S &.; P&.; Dow index jumped 31.4% to 17,542.05.
The Russell 2000 index rose 5.5%, while the Russell 2000 Small Cap Index rose 5%.
The Nasquerex index of emerging markets surged 8.2%.
